The Beagle Boys

The Beagle Boys are the most notorious gang of thiefs and thugs that roam Duckburg. On the picture on the left you can see them watching their favorite target: Uncle Scrooge. It is his moneybin that they're after and naturally his money. Unfortunately they always lose which is probably due to their low intelligence. Their first appearance was in 1951, in Walt Disney's Comics and Stories #134. There are many unsolved items about the gang. Some may have wondered how many there really are or why they most of the time walk around in their prison attire. These questions may seem important and yet they are not. The Beagle Boys are a symbol or a metaphor for the evil in the world. However most criminals are not those we see in movies: intelligently planning a hoist. Even though sometimes the Beagle Boys' plans are intricate they are always fatally flawed because they cannot achive their goal. In the end Scrooge always gets ahead, even though his life is still threatened. (The picture on the left is from House of Haunts, US #129)
